![]() The American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA) AMIBA works to enrich communities by increasing dollars spent at locally-owned businesses. | ![]() The Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE) BALLE (Business Alliance for Local Living Economies, pronounced “bah-lee”) is the fastest growing national alliance of socially responsible businesses in North America. It is comprised of over 80 community networks in 30 U.S. states and Canadian provinces representing over 22,000 independent business members across the U.S. and Canada. As the 3rd largest independent business alliance in the United States, the Santa Fe Alliance was selected by BALLE as one of four regional hub networks charged with coordinating the development of similar networks. Today, the Santa Fe Alliance consults with interested community, business, and government leaders throughout the Southwest, advising on best practices and assisting with implementation. The other three Regional Hubs include Local First in Grand Rapids, MI, Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia, PA, and Sustainable Connections in Bellingham, WA. The Santa Fe Alliance has grown to become the 3rd largest independent business alliance in the country and now the Southwest Regional hub for other communities through our national organization, Business Alliance for Local Living Economies. We are helping BALLE develop training materials for emerging network leaders and communities interested in forming networks like ours and are available for consultation on how to get your own network started. Our executive director, Vicki Pozzebon is also available for speaking engagements and trainings in your community.
